CDS Gen Musa Visits National Mosque, Seeks Prayers and Supports

CDS Gen Musa Visits National Mosque, Seeks Prayers and Supports

The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa has paid a courtesy visit Friday, 1 September, 2023, to the leaders of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs ( NSCIA) at its Headquarters located at the Central Mosque, Abuja.

2. Speaking at the event, the CDS said he came to convey good tidings from the Armed Forces of Nigeria to the entire Muslim Ummahs and to profoundly thank the islamic leaders for their relentless prayers towards the AFN and the nation in general.

3. The CDS noted that the country is passing through some challenges, assured that the country will continue to grow and remain better. According to him, “Nigeria will surely be safe”.

4. General Musa also added that the Armed Forces of Nigeria ( AFN) is highly United and committed to the civil authority. He further assured of the AFN commitment to protect democracy in Nigeria.

5. The representative of the National President of the NSCIA His Eminence, Sultan Abubakar, Muhammad Saad consoled the CDS on the recent loss of Military personnel in a plane crash at Niger State. Barrister Haroun Eze added that the NSCIA has always prayed for the military in it’s fight against insurgency and terrorism. He also called for a peaceful resolution to the political situation in our neighboring Niger Republic.
