I am Fulfilled Serving in the Nigeria Immigration Service – DCG Sadat Hassan
The retired Deputy Comptroller General of Immigration in charge of the Passport and Travel Documents Directorate, Mrs. Sadat Hassan, has said she is proud of the years she spent in service.
She said this on Thursday when the NIS hosted a send-forth gathering for her.
Mrs. Sadat, who retired from her role as Deputy Comptroller General on December 12, 2023, served in the capacity for two years.

In her farewell address, she said: “Today marks a significant moment in my life as I bid farewell to the dynamic and dedicated team of the Passport and other Travel Documents Directorate and the entire staff of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS). It has been an incredible journey leading this esteemed Directorate, and as I retire, I am filled with gratitude and pride for the shared accomplishment we have achieved.”
Mrs. Hassan equally expressed her profound gratitude to the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji Ojo, and her boss, the Comptroller General of Immigration Service, (CGIS), Mrs Caroline WuraOla Adepoju, for their love and support for her, as well as her colleagues across various Directorates for the success she recorded in her career.
In an interview with PRNigeria, she said “I am highly elated, happy, excited, joyous, and I have fulfilled my dream of changing the world.”
During the ceremony, other DCGs and officers commended Mrs. Hassan for her dedication, integrity and professionalism, and for championing the clearing of passports backlog within two weeks.
The event had in attendance her husband, Alhaji Abdulrashid Hassan, the CGI and other senior and junior officers.
