Minister to Spokespersons: Promote Your Principal’s Ideals Unapologetically
Minister of Solid Minerals, Dele Alake has urged spokespersons in the country to believe in the leadership philosophies and ideological creeds of the government officials they are serving and working with.
“This will enable you, as image makers, to make statements that will aid impactful communication,” he told participants at the maiden National Spokespersons Summit, in Abuja, yesterday.

At the event organized by the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR, in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation, Alake said that NIPR played a pivotal role in his professional career growth.
“The NIPR is not just an institution for me; it is my constituency”.
According to him, it is pertinent for spokespersons to believe in the philosophies of their bosses. “Have self-confidence to question your principals so that you can effectively communicate messages that resonate with the general public”.
Alake, while speaking further, also urged spokespersons to lend their support to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope Agenda,” which according to him is a visionary blueprint designed to propel Nigeria towards a future of prosperity and unity.
