CSP Haruna! I remember how you respond with a thick accent “nwanne m nwoke” when we talk on phone.
Though of a different tribe and tongue, you tried to integrate effortlessly with us here in Igbo while your stay lasted.
When you left, we kept in touch sparingly and no one knew you battled a health challenge until this sudden shattering news.
My heart has been bruised badly with several deaths that have touched me deeply that I try to detach myself from serious grief .
But the more I try, the more they come. Your demise is one in that long list.
Like Lucky Dube of blessed memory sang ” Big Boys Don’t Cry” but ” Sometimes I cry” all because ” of the pain I feel inside”.
Adieu the gentle Cop! Kaemesia
