Kwara Gov Extols Tinubu for Appointing Amb. Mohammed as NIA Boss

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has commended President Bola Tinubu for appointing Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed, as the new Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA).

Mohammed is a seasoned diplomat from Lafiagi, Kwara State.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye on Monday, Governor AbdulRazaq described the appointment as a “well-deserved recognition” of Ambassador Mohammed’s exceptional leadership qualities and diplomatic expertise.

He praised President Tinubu for choosing a “son of Kwara” for the critical role, saying it reflects the administration’s commitment to meritocracy and inclusivity.

Ambassador Mohammed, who until his appointment was Nigeria’s Ambassador to Sudan, brings a wealth of experience in international relations and diplomacy to the NIA.

Governor AbdulRazaq expressed confidence that Ambassador Mohammed would leverage his expertise to enhance Nigeria’s national security and intelligence gathering capabilities.

He urged all stakeholders to support the new NIA DG in his critical role and prayed for divine guidance and wisdom to aid him in his responsibilities.

The appointment of Ambassador Mohammed has been widely hailed as a positive development, with many praising President Tinubu for choosing a highly qualified and experienced individual for the role.

In another development, the Governor also applauds the choice of Mr. Adeola Ajayi, a crack senior operative who has pulled through many sensitive operations, to head the DSS at this time.
