Borno: Zulum constitutes committee to review ban on metal scavenging

Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, has approved the constitution of a committee to review the ban on the activities of metal scavengers in the state.

Governor Zulum had imposed a ban on the activities of the metal scavengers in July 2023, primarily to protect them from being killed by Boko Haram insurgents.

The statement released on Saturday by the governor’s SSA on New Media, Abdurrahman Ahmed Bundi, noted that the committee comprises the following persons.
