Imam of Mecca Calls for Support of Oppressed Palestinians During Sermon

In a powerful sermon delivered during Friday prayers, Imam Khaled Mahna, the Imam of Mecca, called for urgent support and prayers for oppressed Muslims in Palestine and around the world.

The Imam emphasized the need for strength in the face of oppression, particularly highlighting the plight of Palestinians and addressing the ongoing tensions with Israel.

Reiterating his call for divine intervention, Imam Mahna urged the congregation to support and pray for the liberation of Al-Aqsa Mosque, a site of great significance to Muslims, from what he referred to as “the hands of the usurping Zionists.”

His remarks were met with strong resonance among the worshippers attending the prayers, illustrating the deep emotional connection and solidarity within the Muslim community regarding the situation in Palestine.

The Imam’s passionate plea extended beyond Palestine, as he called for joy and victory for Palestinians and peace lovers globally, imploring God to grant forgiveness and support amidst their struggles. “Oh God, help us, O God, help us,” he cried, reinforcing the collective hope for a future free from oppression.

This sermon comes at a time of heightened awareness and calls for action regarding the situation in Palestine, echoing sentiments shared by many in the region and around the world advocating for the rights of those facing injustice. The Imam’s words serve as a reminder of the ongoing challenges faced by oppressed communities and the importance of spiritual and communal solidarity.
