Kanwan Katsina Marks 24 Years of Leadership and Community Development
The Ketare District Development Association (KDDA) and the Ketare Youth Development Association (KEDEMA) have commemorated the 24th anniversary of Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara, the Kanwan Katsina and District Head of Ketare, in Kankara Local Government Area, Katsina State.
This celebration was announced in a joint statement signed by KDDA Chairman Ibrahim Sam’ila Ketare and KEDEMA leader Comrade Mudassuru Lawal Gurbi, which was made available to news outlets in Katsina.
The statement praised Kanwan Katsina Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara for his significant contributions to the development of the Ketare district, highlighting various community projects initiated during his tenure.

As he marked this notable milestone, the statement reflected on the turbaning of Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara by the late Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Dr. Mohammadu Kabir Usman, on November 4, 2000.
The KDDA and KEDEMA recognized the past 24 years of the Kanwan Katsina’s leadership as eventful and filled with achievements, particularly in youth and women empowerment, educational advancement, water supply, healthcare, road infrastructure, and computer training for young people.
Both associations extended their best wishes to Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara for continued good health, divine guidance, and blessings, expressing hope that he will further advance development in the Ketare district and Kankara local government area.
The statements described Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara as a proactive leader dedicated to the progress of his community, as he actively engages with government ministries, agencies, and departments to secure projects for the area.
