North Central Ambassadors Hail Tinubu on Tsenyil’s Appointment
The North Central Good Governance Ambassadors have applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Mr. Cyril Tsenyil as the pioneer Managing Director of the newly established North Central Development Commission (NCDC), describing the move as a masterstroke and a pivotal moment for the region’s future.
In a statement signed by its National Coordinator, Comrade Moses Audu, the group expressed deep appreciation to President Tinubu, calling the appointment a clear demonstration of vision, leadership, and a genuine commitment to inclusive national development.
According to the group, the North Central region, which has long been marginalized in the country’s developmental framework, now has a capable leader and an institution specifically tasked with addressing its unique socio-economic and infrastructural challenges.
“President Tinubu’s decision to appoint Mr. Cyril Tsenyil is not only wise but strategic,” Audu stated. “He has entrusted the future of our region to a man of proven competence, character, and commitment. Mr. Tsenyil understands the issues on the ground. He possesses the administrative discipline and visionary thinking required to deliver lasting solutions.”
Describing Tsenyil as a refined technocrat with an outstanding track record in project implementation, policy design, and grassroots engagement, Audu noted: “This is a man who has spent his career turning ideas into tangible impact — not just behind a desk, but out in the field where the real work happens.”
The group observed that for years, the North Central zone lacked a dedicated federal mechanism to address its development needs.
“With the Commission now operational and Tsenyil at the helm, the region is finally positioned to close its development gap and claim its rightful place in Nigeria’s future,” he added.

The group stated: “We are confident that under Mr. Tsenyil’s leadership, the NCDC will not be just another government agency but a catalyst for real and meaningful change. From infrastructure to youth empowerment, agricultural revitalization to security collaboration, he understands the full scope of the task ahead and we believe he will deliver with excellence.”
The group also called on stakeholders across the North Central geopolitical zone — including state governments, traditional rulers, community organizations, and youth groups — to rally behind the new MD and support the Commission’s mission.
While commending the President , he praised his bold and inclusive approach to governance, especially his responsiveness to longstanding calls for a dedicated commission for the North Central zone.
“This is a president who has listened, responded, and acted. He has given the region not only a new institutional voice but also a credible leader to drive the work,” the statement read.
The Ambassadors pledged their support to the Commission, emphasizing their commitment to transparency, community involvement, and sustainable development.
“We will be constructive partners. We will engage, monitor, and celebrate successes. We are not here to criticise but to build, together,” Audu declared.
“The expectations are high — and rightly so. But with unity of purpose and a leader like Cyril Tsenyil, we are confident the Commission will not disappoint. He has the temperament, integrity, and clarity of vision to succeed.”
They further urged the Federal Government to equip the NCDC with the resources and autonomy required to achieve its mandate.
“The NCDC must be adequately empowered, both administratively and financially, to deliver on its objectives. Every support extended to the NDDC and NEDC should be replicated here. With Mr. Tsenyil in charge, we are confident that resources will be managed judiciously, delivering people-centered outcomes,” Audu emphasized.
The group assured Mr. Tsenyil of their unwavering support and confidence in his leadership to fulfill the aspirations of the North Central people.
