Weren’t involved in Israel strikes against you – US tells Iran
The United States has firmly denied any role in the recent Israeli military strikes on Iran, cautioning Tehran against targeting American personnel or interests in response.
This follows Israel’s overnight aerial assaults, which reportedly killed several high-ranking Iranian officials, including the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Hossein Salami—an attack that marks a significant escalation in hostilities between the two longtime adversaries.
Reacting to the developments, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio issued a statement stressing that Washington had no prior knowledge of the Israeli operation and was not involved in any form.
“Tonight, Israel took unilateral action against Iran. We are not involved in strikes against Iran, and our top priority is protecting American forces in the region,” Rubio stated.

He added that Israel had informed Washington that the offensive was a self-defense measure, and reiterated that the US was solely focused on safeguarding its troops and allies across the Middle East.
“President Trump and the administration have taken necessary steps to protect our forces and remain in close contact with our regional partners. Let me be clear: Iran should not target U.S. interests or personnel,” he warned.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has vowed retaliation, describing the Israeli strikes as deadly and declaring that Israel will face a “bitter and painful fate.”
Prior to the strike, Iranian authorities had already warned that any Israeli attack on its nuclear facilities would be considered an act of aggression backed by the US, raising the stakes for potential regional fallout.
Tensions remain high as observers monitor the situation for possible retaliatory moves by Iran and countermeasures by Israel or its allies.
