Iran Condemns U.S. Strikes on Nuclear Facilities, Warns of Consequences
Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, has strongly condemned the United States for launching airstrikes on key nuclear sites across Iran, warning that the actions will lead to far-reaching consequences.
The U.S. government on Saturday confirmed it had conducted what it described as a “highly successful” operation targeting three major Iranian nuclear facilities. While American officials hailed the strikes as a strategic move to deter Tehran’s nuclear ambitions, Iranian authorities have denounced the offensive as a reckless provocation.
Reacting via a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Foreign Minister Araghchi described the attack as “outrageous” and reaffirmed Iran’s right to defend itself.

“The events this morning are outrageous and will have everlasting consequences,” Araghchi wrote. “Iran reserves all options to defend its sovereignty, interests, and people.”
The Iranian government has requested an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council to address the strikes, which it claims violate international law.
So far, Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has not issued a formal statement regarding the incident.
Meanwhile, the situation in the region continues to escalate, as Israel’s military reported that Iran launched a fresh wave of missiles toward Israeli territory in the wake of the U.S. offensive. The broader Israel-Iran conflict has now entered its second week, with both sides engaged in ongoing military exchanges.
International observers are expressing concern over the possibility of further escalation, urging diplomatic intervention to prevent a full-scale regional war.
