According to police sources, the trio—identified as Fulani—had long been on the command’s most-wanted list due to their involvement in multiple kidnapping and banditry operations, particularly in Jere, Kajuru, the FCT, and surrounding communities.
According to Zagazola Makama, during interrogation, the suspects reportedly confessed to abducting several victims and transferring them to detention camps in the Kachia and Rigina forests of Kaduna State. Some victims, they revealed, were held captive for months, while others were summarily executed.
One of the suspects, Abdulkadir Abubakar, disclosed chilling details about internal purges within the gang, including executions of members by their leaders over alleged betrayal and mistrust.
A notorious operational motorcycle—infamously dubbed the “Boko Haram Motorcycle” by locals—was recovered during the raid. The suspects are currently assisting security operatives in locating hidden arms and ammunition caches and in identifying other gang members still on the run.
