He explained that further investigation and profiling narrowed the list to seven prime suspects.

Those arrested include Idris Hamza (27), Suleiman Damilare (27), Abdulsemiu Bashir (23), Bawa Aliyu (27), Yakubu Musa a.k.a. Pypa (24), Samson Abbah a.k.a. Small (28), and Solomon Musa a.k.a. Cabella (28).

They face charges ranging from criminal conspiracy, robbery, unlawful society, and possession of dangerous weapons to internet fraud and suspected culpable homicide.

Two of the suspects were arrested on June 27 at Fadikpe with cannabis, charms, and a Toyota Corolla. Police said they confessed to being members of the Neo Black Movement (NBM) and admitted involvement in cult-related activities on campus. One suspect, Abdulsemiu Bashir, was found with 16 SIM cards, a POS machine, and ₦77,000 believed to be proceeds from stolen phones.

In a separate operation, four suspects were arrested after a robbery attack in Suleja on September 6. The gang of about ten allegedly broke into a residence, injuring a victim and carting away phones, a plasma TV, solar panels, and other valuables. Those arrested include Umar Abubakar (24), Ibrahim Lawali (18), Sirajo Musa (25), and Adamu Lawal (25), with some stolen items recovered.

The Police Command said all suspects have been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation and prosecution.
