CP Dantawaye Summons Gwarinpa DPO Over Misconduct Allegations, Appoints Replacement

Commissioner Orders Disciplinary Action, Reiterates Zero Tolerance for Unprofessional Conduct

The Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command, CP Miller G. Dantawaye, has ordered the immediate redeployment of the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Gwarinpa Division, SP Babale Galadima, to the Command Headquarters over allegations of professional misconduct.

According to a statement issued on Saturday, November 8, 2025, by the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, the redeployed officer is to face administrative disciplinary proceedings following complaints raised by members of the public.

The Commissioner said the decision aligns with his earlier directive to all Divisional Police Officers and their subordinates to remain professional, courteous, and law-abiding in the discharge of their duties.

“Any act of misconduct, unprofessionalism, or abuse of office will not be tolerated and will attract appropriate sanctions,” CP Dantawaye warned.

In the same vein, the Command has approved the posting of CSP Nasir Gusau as the new Divisional Police Officer of Gwarinpa Division with immediate effect. The CP charged the new DPO to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, ensure respect for human rights, and maintain civility in all engagements with the public.

He also urged residents of Gwarinpa and its environs to cooperate with the new DPO and continue supporting the Police in their collective effort to maintain peace, law, and public safety within the Division.

Members of the public were further encouraged to report emergencies or share actionable information through the FCT Police Command hotlines: 0803 200 3913, 0806 858 7311, or the Police Complaint Response Unit (CRU) on 0810 731 4192.
