Troops Raid Gunrunners’ Hideout, Recover Weapons, Logistics in Plateau
Troops of the Joint Task Force (JTF) Operation Enduring Peace have uncovered a cache of arms and ammunition during a raid on a suspected gunrunners’ hideout in Fashoron Village, Daffo District of Bokkos Local Government Area in Plateau State.
The operation, carried out on 13 November 2025 by troops under Sector 2 (Sub-Sector 2) of Operation Enduring Peace in Bokkos, was part of ongoing efforts to disrupt the activities of armed criminal groups within the Joint Operations Area. The suspects reportedly fled the location before the arrival of the troops.

According to the Media Information Officer of the operation, Major Samson Nantip Zhakom, a detailed search of the hideout led to the recovery of a significant cache of weapons, including one AK-47 rifle, an AK-47 magazine, a sub-machine gun, two Dane guns, 42 rounds of 7.62mm (Special) ammunition, 84 rounds of 9mm ammunition, and 20 cartridges.
Troops also recovered six mobile phones and ₦330,000 in cash during the operation.
All seized items have been taken into custody while the military intensifies efforts to track and apprehend the fleeing suspects.
Major Zhakom reaffirmed the commitment of Operation Enduring Peace to ridding the Joint Operations Area of criminal elements, particularly those involved in the proliferation of illegal arms and ammunition.
