Army, NOA Deepen Collaboration as Civil–Military Affairs Chief Visits DG Onilu

Army, NOA Deepen Collaboration as Civil–Military Affairs Chief Visits DG Onilu

The Chief of Civil-Military Affairs (CCMA), Major General Musa Awal Estu-Ndagi, on Friday paid a courtesy visit to the Director General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mallam Isa Onilu, as part of efforts to strengthen institutional collaboration and consolidate existing partnerships between the Nigerian Army and the agency.

The visit, which took place at the NOA headquarters in Abuja on 12 December 2025, focused on enhancing synergy in public enlightenment, national security messaging and civil engagement.

Speaking during the engagement, Major General Estu-Ndagi commended the agency for its longstanding cooperation with the Nigerian Army, noting that the partnership has contributed significantly to promoting national security and public awareness. He stressed the need to deepen cordial relations to better support government policies through sustained enlightenment campaigns and improved civil–military relations.

He assured the NOA leadership of the Army’s commitment to maintaining and strengthening the collaboration “for more successful outcomes” for both the Department of Civil-Military Affairs and the agency.

In his remarks, NOA Director General, Mallam Isa Onilu, expressed appreciation for the CCMA’s visit, describing it as a demonstration of the Army’s commitment to effective collaboration. He lauded the sacrifices of military personnel in tackling security challenges across the country and pledged the agency’s continuous support.

Onilu noted that increased dialogue and joint initiatives between both institutions would further enhance seamless public sensitization on national policies and security issues.

Major General Estu-Ndagi was accompanied on the visit by senior officers of the Department of Civil-Military Affairs, including Deputy Director, Brigadier General N.N. Gambo; Assistant Director Administration, Lieutenant Colonel B.O. Evwiehor; Assistant Director Legal, Major Joel R. Mamza; and Acting Director Information Management, Major Ojo Adenegan.

The visit reinforces the Nigerian Army’s resolve to strengthen cooperation with key national institutions in promoting peace, security, and national orientation.
