CAS Lauds 407 ACTG Contribution to Air Combat Readiness at Kainji
The Chief of the Air Staff, Sunday Kelvin Aneke, has commended personnel of the 407 Air Combat Training Group for their sustained contribution to combat readiness, force generation, and operational effectiveness within the Nigerian Air Force.
The commendation was delivered at a special Easter Luncheon held at the Nigerian Air Force Base Kainji, where the CAS was represented by the Chief of Administration, AA Martins. The event brought together officers, airmen, and airwomen of the 407 Air Combat Training Group in a setting that combined celebration with institutional engagement.

According to the message conveyed on behalf of the Air Chief, the professionalism, discipline, and commitment of personnel in the Group remain central to sustaining the Air Force’s operational posture. He noted that the unit plays a critical role in training, mission support, and the generation of combat-ready air power, describing these functions as essential to national security objectives.
He further reaffirmed the Service’s commitment to strengthening personnel welfare and morale, describing them as key enablers of operational effectiveness. The leadership, he stated, remains focused on providing an enabling environment that allows personnel to execute assigned tasks with efficiency and excellence.
The Easter gathering also served as an avenue for direct engagement between leadership and troops, reinforcing institutional cohesion and recognition. Personnel of the 407 ACTG expressed appreciation for the leadership’s continued emphasis on welfare enhancement and inclusive engagement, noting that such interactions contribute significantly to motivation, unity, and operational confidence.
