FRSC Condemns Attack on Personnel by DSS Operative in Abuja
The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, has condemned a violent attack on FRSC personnel by an armed motorist later identified as a Department of State Services (DSS) operative during a routine traffic enforcement operation in Abuja.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by Osondu Ohaeri, Deputy Corps Commander and Corps Public Education Officer, on Friday.

According to the statement, the motorist committed traffic violations and became aggressive when stopped, resulting in minor injuries to one FRSC officer.
Commending his officers, Corps Marshal Mohammed said, “No individual, regardless of status, rank, or agency affiliation, is above the law. Security personnel are expected to lead by example through compliance with established traffic regulations and respect for constituted authority.”
He stressed that firearms and official status must never be used to intimidate law enforcement officers.
The Corps called on all security agencies to strengthen inter-agency cooperation, mutual respect, and operational discipline in the interest of national security and public safety.
