Kogi State Donates 10 Electric Patrol Bikes to FRSC
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has strengthened its institutional partnership with the Kogi State Government as Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed formally invested Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo as Patron of the FRSC Special Marshals in Kogi State.
The investiture ceremony, held at the Banquet Hall of the Government House in Lokoja, underscored the growing collaboration between the Corps and the State Government to improve road safety along one of Nigeria’s busiest transport corridors.
This was contained in statement signed by Deputy Corps Commander Osondu Ohaeri, the Corps Public Education Officer, on Wednesday.

According to the statement Governor Ododo donated 10 electric patrol motorcycles to FRSC to enhance traffic control, enforcement operations, and rapid emergency response.
“This investiture is dedicated to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whose visionary leadership and support for FRSC inspire us to strengthen institutions that safeguard lives,” Ododo declared.
Receiving the donation, Corps Marshal Mohammed described the gesture as “a strategic investment that will significantly boost operational effectiveness across Kogi State. By accepting the role of Patron and contributing tangible resources, Governor Ododo has shown exemplary leadership in advancing road safety governance.”
“These electric patrol bikes will not only improve our enforcement capacity but also demonstrate Nigeria’s readiness to embrace sustainable, modern technologies in road safety management,” he added.
