NAF Intensifies Air Operations Against Terrorists in Niger State, Disrupts Movements in Mariga
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has sustained air operations against terrorist elements in Niger State, disrupting their movements and activities in parts of Mariga Local Government Area.
The operations, conducted in coordination with ground forces under the Joint Task Force North West Area of Operations, followed credible intelligence on the activities and movements of terrorists around Maburya, Sangeko, Kampani Bobi and adjoining areas.
According to the NAF, its aircraft conducted sustained armed reconnaissance and surveillance missions across the affected locations, where terrorist elements were observed moving on motorcycles and alongside rustled cattle.

The Air Force said the operations demonstrated the growing effectiveness of intelligence-led airpower, persistent surveillance and close coordination between air and ground forces in countering terrorist threats.
It said the sustained deployment of aircraft was aimed at denying terrorists the freedom to move, assemble and operate without challenge across the Joint Task Force North West operational area.
The NAF further reaffirmed its commitment to supporting surface forces through continuous air operations designed to protect lives and property and create safer conditions for communities affected by insecurity.
The Service said its personnel would continue to maintain vigilance and conduct intelligence-driven operations as part of broader efforts to degrade terrorist networks and restore lasting peace and security across the country.
