Troops of Joint Task Force North West Operation FANSAN YAMMA have rescued a kidnapped victim in Kaduna State and foiled a terrorist attack in Sokoto State as they sustained operations across the Joint Operations Area.
The Media Information Officer of the Joint Task Force (North West) Operation FANSAN YAMMA, Lieutenant Colonel Aliyu Danja, disclosed this in a statement on Friday.
Danja said troops of Sector 1 responded on Thursday, August 20, to a distress call following the abduction of a 43-year-old man around Awon Community in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
According to him, the troops swiftly moved into the area and pursued the terrorists into the surrounding bushes, forcing them to abandon their captive and flee.
