Hadin Kai: Troops Disrupt Boko Haram Movement, Recover Arms in Yobe
Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have disrupted the movement of Boko Haram terrorists in Yobe State, neutralising one fighter and recovering arms and ammunition during an intelligence-led operation.
The operation was conducted on September 1, 2026, by troops of 120 Task Force Battalion, Sector 2, in collaboration with members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), along a suspected terrorist route in Lamusuri, Gujba Local Government Area of the state.

According to a statement by the Acting Military Information Officer, Headquarters Joint Task Force North East, Operation HADIN KAI, Captain Mohammed Goni, the troops, acting on credible intelligence, sighted a group of Boko Haram terrorists along the route.
The troops engaged the terrorists in a firefight, forcing the insurgents to flee the area. One terrorist was neutralised during the encounter, while others escaped with suspected gunshot wounds.
The operation also led to the recovery of one AK-47 rifle, three magazines, 90 rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition and one body pouch.
Captain Goni said the successful operation underscores the commitment of Operation HADIN KAI troops to disrupting terrorist movements and degrading their operational capabilities in the North-East.
He added that troops remain resolute in sustaining offensive operations against terrorists and other criminal elements within the Joint Task Force’s area of responsibility.
