Nigerian Army Officers DRC 04/93 Set Celebrate 30th Anniversary

Nigerian Army Officers DRC 04/93 Set Celebrate 30th Anniversary

The Nigerian Army Direct Regular Commissioned Officers Course 04/1993 Association, on Saturday, reunited in a momentous celebration to mark 30 years since their commissioning.

The event is also meant to honor the commitment and dedication of members who have served the nation with utmost integrity and bravery.

Speaking at Scorpion Officer’s mess, Abuja, where the event held, Chairman of the association, Brigadier-General Sani Kukasheka Usman, expressed gratitude for the journey made collectively and the lasting friendships nurtured throughout the years.

His word, “the reunion is to leverage the expertise and the composition of our members from various fields of endeavour. We’ll continue to provide this for the betterment of the society using this advantage. The event is to harmonise our expertise of all members to for national development.

“We might have faced some challenges but very rewarding in the sense that after 30 years, we are waxing stronger. We still have some of our colleagues still serving in the army and some have left and you can see many of them are even outside the country.

“It’s a thing of joy because some of us are doing wonders in our various fields, So it has been wonderful and I’m sure it is not just our family, but we are here with out children and grand children, which will continue down the line.”

Chairman of the occasion, Brig-General Tunde Oghea (Rtd), applauded the association for contributing to the progress and development of the Nigerian Army.

He commended the association for keeping the relationship going for several years despite obstacles and challenges.

“Inspite of not too good commentaries from members of the Nigerian Army Direct Regular Commission (DRC4/93) during their training period, but, we have to do what we did in order to keep you in shape and for future assignments.

“There is no doubt, the association is very important because as they grow old, it requires to pull themselves together and spouses and children to be part experience”, he said.

He advised members inculcate the legacies that will sustain the association which can extended from their generation to children.
