Nigerian Army Inaugurates 55 Panel Members for2024 Captain to Major Promotion Examination
The Nigerian Army has commenced the 2024 Captain to Major Written Promotion Examination (CMWPE) with the inauguration of a 55-member Examination Panel by the Commander Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), Major General Kevin Aligbe.
The ceremony, held at the Muhammadu Buhari Auditorium, Nigerian Army School of Supply and Transport, Benin City, charged panelists to conduct the examination with integrity, honesty, and professional competence.

Major General Aligbe emphasized the importance of fairness, thoroughness, and uprightness in the examination, which determines career progression for candidates. He reminded panelists to set the examination based on Nigerian Army standards, aiming to produce problem-solving officers in line with the Chief of Army Staff’s Command Philosophy.
The Commandant, Nigerian Army School of Supply and Transport, Major General ND Shagaya, congratulated the panelists and described the examination as a catalyst for career progression, equipping candidates with requisite knowledge to support the Nigerian Army’s objectives.
A statement by Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba said that the ceremony was attended by senior officers, including the Chief of Training TRADOC, Major General POA Okoye, and representatives from Army Headquarters.
Prior to the inauguration, the Examination President addressed the panelists on the Modus Operandi of conducting the examination, and a courtesy visit was made to the Commandant, Nigerian Army School of Supply and Transport.
