Lagos Digital Public Relations Summit Goes National

In a landmark move celebrating its 10th anniversary, Upticomm Marketing Company, in collaboration with the Lagos State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), proudly announces the evolution of its flagship training event, the Lagos Digital Public Relations Summit, into the Nigeria Digital Public Relations Summit.

This transformation signifies a decade of pioneering digital PR education and innovation, expanding the Summit’s reach beyond Lagos to establish it as Nigeria’s premier platform for digital public relations excellence.

Speaking on the milestone, Segun McMedal, President of Upticomm Marketing Company, emphasized the significance of this transition:

“The Nigeria Digital Public Relations Summit is a testament to how far we’ve come over the past ten years. This evolution is about scale, impact, and inclusivity—creating a truly national platform that reflects Nigeria’s leadership in Africa’s digital PR space. As we enter this new era, our goal remains to equip PR professionals with the tools, insights, and strategies needed to excel in a digital-first world.”

Echoing this vision, Comfort Obot Nwankwo, Chairman of Lagos NIPR, highlighted the broader implications:

“This strategic rebranding strengthens Nigeria’s position as a hub for digital PR excellence in Africa. It fosters stronger global collaborations and attracts international participants eager to engage with Nigeria’s dynamic communications industry.”

The shift to the Nigeria Digital Public Relations Summit is a strategic response to global best practices, ensuring greater brand recognition, increased visibility, and deeper stakeholder engagement. More than a name change, this marks a new chapter in a decade-long journey of innovation, knowledge-sharing, and professional growth.

Since its inception in 2016, the Summit has set the benchmark for digital public relations in Nigeria—shaping industry standards, driving thought leadership, and equipping professionals with the expertise to navigate an ever-evolving communications landscape.

As it enters this new phase, the Summit aims to solidify Nigeria’s influence in the global digital PR ecosystem, attracting sponsors, media partners, and key industry players while continuing to inspire the next generation of PR professionals.
