IPRA Signs Strategic Partnership with Cameroon’s ACOMA to Promote Ethical PR Practices

The International Public Relations Association (IPRA) has signed a partnership agreement with the Association Des Communicateurs en Marche (ACOMA), Cameroon, to foster ethical and sustainable public relations practices.

The agreement, which establishes a framework for collaboration between the two bodies, includes commitments to information exchange, publication sharing, and joint efforts to promote the development of professional standards and ethics in PR, guided by IPRA’s globally respected codes and guidelines.

“I am thrilled to welcome ACOMA to our IPRA family,” said Nataša Pavlović Bujas, President of IPRA. “Gathering professionals worldwide not only contributes to the advancement of public relations but also strengthens mutual understanding and trust among nations.”

ACOMA’s Founder and President, Nkemzikann Benaja, also expressed enthusiasm over the new partnership, describing it as a step forward for public relations in Cameroon.

“The signing of this agreement marks the beginning of a promising partnership in favour of the development and promotion of good practices in sustainable public relations in Cameroon,” Benaja noted. “We commit to working, in the spirit of this agreement, for a constructive, ethical, and mutually beneficial collaboration.”

IPRA is the world’s leading network for individual public relations professionals, recognised by the United Nations and active across the globe. With over 60 years of history, IPRA champions open communication, ethical conduct, and professional excellence. It is also known for organising the prestigious Golden World Awards for Excellence in PR.

Founded in 2024, ACOMA is dedicated to promoting responsible and ethical communication in Cameroon. The organisation aims to address the rising demand for qualified PR professionals by encouraging sustainable and community-driven communication strategies.

This partnership is expected to strengthen PR capacity in Cameroon while expanding IPRA’s global footprint in advancing ethical public relations practices.
