PRCAN Hails Bolajoko Bayo-Ajayi’s Historic Emergence as First Female NIMN President

The Public Relations Consultants Association of Nigeria (PRCAN) has congratulated Mrs. Bolajoko Bayo-Ajayi on her groundbreaking election as President of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN), describing it as a landmark moment for the marketing and communications profession in the country.

In an official statement signed by Dr. Nkechi Ali-Balogun, fnipr, Chair and CEO of PRCAN, the association lauded Bayo-Ajayi’s emergence as the first woman to lead the NIMN since its inception, calling it a celebration of excellence and a symbol of progress for gender inclusion in the industry.

“On behalf of PRCAN, I extend our warmest congratulations to Mrs. Bolajoko Bayo-Ajayi on her historic election as the first female President of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria,” Dr. Ali-Balogun stated.

“Her emergence is not only a celebration of professional excellence but also a beacon of inspiration to practitioners across the integrated marketing communications industry.”

PRCAN noted that Bayo-Ajayi’s longstanding commitment and contribution to the growth of the marketing profession in Nigeria positioned her for this well-deserved elevation.

According to the association, her leadership is coming at a pivotal time in the evolution of the nation’s marketing and communications space—one that demands vision, innovation, and inclusive strategies.

“We are confident that NIMN will continue to thrive under her visionary guidance, championing innovation, professionalism, gender inclusion, and sustainable growth in the sector,” she added.

PRCAN also expressed optimism about strengthening institutional ties with NIMN under the new leadership, with hopes of expanding collaborative efforts in professional development and capacity building across Nigeria’s integrated marketing communications ecosystem.

“We look forward to deeper synergy between our two organisations as we collectively strive to elevate standards, empower practitioners, and shape the future of our industry,” the statement concluded.

PRCAN reaffirmed its support for Bayo-Ajayi and wished her a successful and impactful tenure.

The statement was jointly endorsed by PRCAN’s Public Relations Officer, Dr. Monday Ashibogwu, fnipr.
