Upon sighting the advancing troops, the terrorists reportedly abandoned their belongings and fled into nearby bushes.
“Items recovered during the exploitation include two bicycles, six small lamps, two solar power units, six new Tecno phones with chargers but without SIM cards, bags of garri, and the sum of ₦4,770,000,” one of the sources disclosed.
The troops subsequently conducted a search-and-pursue operation in the surrounding area but made no further contact with the fleeing insurgents.
Operation Hadin Kai troops, in collaboration with other security agencies, have continued to sustain offensive operations under Operation Desert Sanity IV, aimed at denying terrorists freedom of movement and ensuring the safety of key supply routes across the North East.
