Troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA, in collaboration with other security agencies, have foiled a bandit attack and recovered 45 rustled animals following an invasion of a Fulani settlement in Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State.
Security sources disclosed that the incident occurred at about 10:50 p.m. on February 20 when suspected armed bandits stormed the Gogalo Fulani Settlement Camp, situated along the Nigeria–Niger border, and rustled a number of goats.
During the attack, the assailants reportedly shot and injured a 25-year-old resident, Abdullahi Wada, before fleeing toward the border axis.
