PSC Releases List of Successful Applicants for Recruitment of 50,000 Police Constables
The Police Service Commission (PSC) has released the names of successful applicants in the ongoing recruitment of 50,000 Police Constables into the Nigeria Police Force.
The Commission announced that the recruitment exercise was concluded after a comprehensive, transparent, inclusive and equitable process conducted in collaboration with key stakeholders, including the Nigeria Police Force, the Federal Character Commission, the Ministry of Police Affairs, State Career and Counselling Departments, and the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC).
According to a statement issued on Wednesday by the Head of Protocol and Public Relations of the PSC, Mr. Torty Njoku Kalu, candidates who participated in the recently concluded written examination are to log on to the official recruitment portal to check their application status.
The Commission said the recruitment portal will be accessible from 12:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2026, while successful applicants will also receive notifications via the email addresses and telephone numbers provided during their applications.

The statement said successful candidates would be required to report to their designated Police Training Institutions on dates to be communicated later for documentation and medical screening.
It warned that candidates who fail to report within the stipulated period would be deemed to have declined the offer, while those who fail the mandatory medical examination to be conducted by the Police Medical Team upon resumption for training would be declared medically unfit and withdrawn from the exercise.
The PSC directed successful applicants to report with their training call-up slips, National Identification Number (NIN) slips, Bank Verification Number (BVN) slips, original copies and photocopies of their academic credentials, alongside other required documents and items to be specified on the recruitment portal.
Chairman of the Commission, retired Deputy Inspector-General of Police Hashimu Salihu Argungu, expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for approving the recruitment of 50,000 Police Constables as part of efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s security architecture.
Argungu urged the successful applicants to regard their recruitment as a call to national service, charging them to discharge their duties with dignity, integrity and unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property across the country.
