NAF, Operation Hadin Kai Deepen Strategic Communication Partnership to Bolster Counter-Terrorism Efforts
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) and the Headquarters Joint Task Force (North East), Operation Hadin Kai, have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening strategic communication and inter-agency collaboration to support ongoing counter-terrorism operations and enhance national security.
The renewed commitment was made on Monday during a courtesy visit by the Director of Public Relations and Information of the Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, to the Headquarters of Operation Hadin Kai in Maiduguri, Borno State.
Speaking during the visit, the Theatre Commander of Operation Hadin Kai, Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar, described strategic communication as an indispensable element of modern military operations, stressing that effective communication and coordinated messaging are critical to shaping public perception and denying terrorist groups the opportunity to dominate the information space.
He said enhanced collaboration among security agencies in information management would help counter terrorist propaganda, strengthen public confidence in ongoing military operations, and reinforce support for counter-insurgency efforts in the North-East.
The theatre commander also commended the Nigerian Air Force for its professionalism and sustained contributions to joint military operations against insurgents in the region.

In his remarks, Air Commodore Ejodame emphasised the need for greater synergy in strategic communication among the Armed Forces and other security agencies, noting that harmonised messaging and sustained media engagement remain essential in combating misinformation and disinformation.
He said the timely dissemination of accurate and credible information through responsible media organisations would reinforce public trust while projecting a unified national security narrative.
According to him, the visit was aimed at deepening collaboration between the Nigerian Air Force and Operation Hadin Kai to ensure coordinated, timely and factual communication on military operations and other national security matters.
Both senior military officers reiterated their commitment to leveraging strategic communication as a force multiplier in ongoing operations, stressing that proactive media engagement, prompt dissemination of verified information, and sustained collaboration among security agencies and state media would help consolidate operational gains, strengthen civil-military relations, and promote lasting peace and security.
The visit was attended by the Air Component Commander, Operation Hadin Kai, Air Commodore Buba Ahmed; the Chief of Staff, Headquarters Operation Hadin Kai, Brigadier General Sani Ahmed; Component Commanders, Principal Staff Officers, and other senior military officers.
Highlights of the visit included the inspection of a Quarter Guard, the signing of the visitors’ register, the exchange of souvenirs, and a group photograph.
