FRSC Redeploys 13 Senior Officers in Strategic Shake-Up to Boost Operations
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has redeployed 13 senior officers across various commands and departments in a strategic move aimed at strengthening operational effectiveness and improving service delivery.
The redeployment, approved by the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, was designed to inject fresh perspectives, optimise professional competencies and position officers where their experience could deliver greater institutional value.
The affected officers include five Assistant Corps Marshals (ACMs) occupying senior management and operational positions at the national headquarters and zonal commands.
Among them is ACM GO Omiko, formerly Assistant Corps Marshal, Special Duties and External Relations (SDER), who has been redeployed to head the Operations Department.
ACM EF Akinlade, formerly ACM Research, has been moved to Command Administration and Strategy (CAS) in Operations at the FRSC National Headquarters, Abuja.
Similarly, ACM JO Asaolu, formerly of the Policy Advisory Unit, will take over as ACM Research, while ACM MB Ibrahim, formerly ACM Special Marshals, has been redeployed to head Special Duties and External Relations at the Road Safety Headquarters.
ACM FA Ogidan, formerly ACM Command Administration and Strategy at the Operations Headquarters, has been appointed Zonal Commanding Officer of RS10HQ, Sokoto.

The Corps said the redeployment was part of its broader efforts to strengthen institutional capacity, promote effective leadership and ensure that its human resources are aligned with emerging road safety and traffic management challenges.
The Corps Marshal described the movement as a normal feature of a dynamic organisation committed to continuous improvement, stressing that strategic deployment was essential to building a responsive, agile and performance-driven road safety institution.
He said the FRSC must continually optimise its personnel and resources in response to changing realities in road safety, traffic management and enforcement across the country.
According to him, the exercise also reinforces the Corps’ commitment to professionalism, accountability, operational discipline and effective leadership.
The affected officers have been directed to report to their new commands and assume duty immediately, while ensuring a seamless and properly documented handing-over process.
The Corps Marshal charged the redeployed officers to view their new assignments as opportunities to make greater contributions to the FRSC’s mandate of reducing road traffic crashes and improving safety for all road users.
He urged them to bring high standards of integrity, professionalism, innovation and commitment to their new commands, emphasising that every posting comes with increased responsibility and an opportunity to deliver measurable results.
The FRSC leadership, the statement added, remains focused on building a stronger, more responsive and performance-oriented institution capable of advancing Nigeria’s road safety agenda.
