Gombe Governorship Aspirant Umar Bello Endorses Pantami, Commits 2027 Structure
A former Gombe State governorship aspirant, Hon. Umar Bello Gombe, has endorsed Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, CON, as his preferred candidate for the 2027 governorship election, pledging the full support of his political structure across the state.
Bello, a grassroots politician, philanthropist and real estate entrepreneur who contested the governorship in 2019, announced his endorsement during a visit to Pantami at his office in Abuja.
He described the former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy as a resilient and committed leader whose competence and achievements have earned national and international recognition.
“Everyone knows that Professor Pantami is a resilient and committed person whose competence is known not only in Nigeria but globally,” Bello said.
According to him, Gombe State requires leadership that extends beyond physical infrastructure to addressing the critical needs and aspirations of its people.
“We in Gombe State want somebody that brings value to the state, not just roads, but what exactly the people are in need of,” he stated.

Bello said his endorsement followed a personal assessment of Pantami’s leadership qualities, integrity and track record in public service, expressing confidence that he possesses the capacity to provide purposeful leadership for the state.
He also called on his supporters and other residents of Gombe State to rally behind Pantami’s governorship ambition.
“I am fully endorsing Professor Pantami and calling on my supporters and the good people of Gombe State to join hands towards his success at the polls in 2027,” he said.
The former governorship aspirant further announced that his political structure across the state would work for the success of Pantami’s campaign.
“All of my political structures will work fully for Pantami. We will make sure that he becomes successful as the Governor of Gombe State in 2027,” he added.
Bello maintained that Pantami’s leadership style and commitment to public service distinguish him as the right choice for the state.
“Once you meet him, you will know that he deserves to be Governor of Gombe State. That is why all patriotic people of Gombe State should support him towards the actualisation of this noble cause,” he said.
The endorsement adds to the growing list of political figures backing Pantami’s governorship aspiration as political consultations intensify ahead of the 2027 elections.
