Troops Arrest 2 Suspected Terrorist Logistics Suppliers, Seize Motorcycle Parts in Yobe
Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East), Operation HADIN KAI, have arrested two suspected terrorist logistics suppliers and recovered a large consignment of motorcycle spare parts allegedly destined for Boko Haram/ISWAP elements operating in the Yunusari-Mobbar axis of Yobe State.
The suspects were apprehended on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, following credible intelligence on the movement of logistics supplies believed to be intended for terrorist operatives.
Acting on the intelligence, troops of 159 Battalion, under Sector 2, Operation HADIN KAI, in collaboration with other security personnel, deployed a fighting patrol that intercepted the suspected logistics consignment at Gumsa Bridge in Geidam Local Government Area of the state.

Items recovered from the consignment included large quantities of motorcycle tyres, crankshafts, oil seals, traffic indicators, acceleration and clutch cables, bearings, brake components, gaskets, piston kits, chains and sprockets, speedometers, clutch plates, rocker arms, CDI units, coils, rectifiers and fuel-related components, among other motorcycle spare parts.
The troops also recovered 145 pairs of footwear and two Tecno Android mobile phones.
The suspects and recovered items have since been handed over to the 27 Military Intelligence Regiment for further investigation and necessary action.
The Joint Task Force said the operation represents another significant effort to disrupt terrorist logistics networks and deny Boko Haram and ISWAP fighters access to critical supplies needed to sustain their operations in the North-East.
The task force reaffirmed its commitment to dismantling terrorist support structures across the theatre and urged members of the public to continue providing credible and timely information to security agencies to support ongoing counter-terrorism operations.
