Military Raids Terrorists Camp, Eliminates One, Arrests Suspect in Benue
Troops of Sector 1, Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS), have neutralised a suspected terrorist and arrested another during an offensive operation in Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State.
The operation was conducted at about 8:32 a.m. on September 28 at Kyado, where the troops engaged members of a terrorist group at the Pevikya enclave in Adomanyi.

During the encounter, the troops neutralised one suspected terrorist and apprehended another, while other members of the group fled the area.
The troops subsequently recovered an AK-47 rifle magazine abandoned by the fleeing suspects.
The arrested suspect and the recovered magazine are currently in the custody of the troops for further investigation and necessary action.
The operation is part of ongoing efforts by OPWS to disrupt terrorist activities, deny criminal elements freedom of action and strengthen security across vulnerable communities in Benue State.
