Kano Tailor Completes 120-Hour Sewing Marathon in Guinness World Record Bid
A Kano-based tailor, Abdulkadir Hassan, has completed a 120-hour sewing marathon in a bid to set a Guinness World Record for the longest sewing marathon.
Hassan spent five consecutive days sewing, with a video circulating on social media capturing his emotional celebration and Islamic prayers after completing the challenge.
The atmosphere at the venue reportedly erupted in jubilation as supporters celebrated the conclusion of the demanding endurance exercise.
Beyond the record attempt, Hassan dedicated the initiative to supporting underprivileged children by sewing school uniforms for those who may struggle to afford them.

The charitable effort added a humanitarian dimension to the marathon, using his tailoring skills to promote access to education and support children in need.
A video of Hassan celebrating his achievement has attracted reactions from social media users, particularly members of the fashion and tailoring community, who commended his determination and endurance.
Some commenters congratulated him on completing the challenge, while others described the feat as a source of pride for Nigerian fashion designers.
However, Guinness World Records has yet to be confirmed as having officially recognised the attempt. Completion of the marathon does not, in itself, establish that a new world record has been verified.
The development has drawn attention to the growing number of Nigerians undertaking endurance challenges in pursuit of global recognition while using their initiatives to promote charitable causes.
