Police Rescue Abandoned Baby in Lagos, Nab Hardened Criminals in Bauchi, Ekiti

The Lagos State Police Command today 14th May, 2021 at about 8am, rescued another one month old female child that was abandoned at the junction of Odun-Ade Filling Station by Orile Bus Stop, Lagos.

The baby was sighted by some passers-by who alerted the Police Operatives attached to Orile Division of the Lagos State Police Command before she was rescued and handed over to the Gender Unit of the Lagos State Police Command, Ikeja.

The baby was taken to the office of the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu by the Officer in charge of the Gender Unit where CP Hakeem Odumosu directed that the baby be accorded proper medical attention and taken to a government accredited shelter (facility) for custody and proper care.

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu, reassured the general public that the command will continue to work with all relevant government agencies and interest groups in fighting against this inhuman act and other social vices in Lagos State.

Ekiti RRS nabs serial burglars

The Ekiti State Police Command Rapid Response Squad(RRS) on Monday 10th May, 2021 at about 0130hrs arrested one *ABBAR WASIRI* and one *ARIBISALA TIMILEYIN* for burgling about three different houses along Adebayo Area, Ado-Ekiti and carting away two hindered and ten thousand naira(#210,000:00) and other valuables.

On 09/05/2021 at about 1330hrs, one Barrister Ayo Oguntuase of Ado-Ekiti came to the RRS Office, Ado-Ekiti and reported that some unknown persons burgled his Office and two other houses at night in Adebayo Area, Ado-Ekiti on 08/05/2021 and made away with #210,000 cash, two complete sets of computer system and many other items.

Upon the receipt of the information, the RRS Operatives immediately moved into action and arrested the two suspects based on intelligence gathered.

During interrogation, the two suspects arrested confessed to the commission of the crime and led the Operatives to their houses where items such as 265 different types of children and adult clothes, 14 pairs of children and adult canvas shoes ,two complete sets of computer system, one ceiling fan, and two law report books belonging to different complainants were recovered.

Further investigation revealed that one of the suspects, *ABBAR WASIRI,* is one of the Security Guards employed to be guiding one of the places of incident.

Investigation is ongoing for further findings. As soon as it is concluded, all the suspects arrested shall be charged to Court.

Bauchi Police Nab Armed Robbers
Pursuant to our continued clampdown on all forms of criminal activities in the State, the Bauchi Police Command is glad to present the following updates:

1. Arrest of Suspected Armed Robbers:
Three suspects have been arrested by detectives of the Bauchi State Police Command in connection to the case of robbery.
The suspects; Kamaluddeen Adamu 22yrs, Murtala Muhammed 22yrs and Ahmad Muhammad 19yrs, all of Railway area of Bauchi Metro on 30/04/2021 at about 0300hrs conspired and attacked one Salisu Muhammad of Federal Low cost in his house and robbed him of the following valuables:

On 07/04/2021 at about 1200hrs one Saidu Iliyasu of Zubuki area Jamaare L.G.A, Bauchi came to Jamaare Divisional Headquarters and reported that on the 5/04/2021 his daughter, one Jamila Saidu 35yrs of the same address was declared missing following which a search party was organized, but to no avail, until on the 08/04/2021 at about 1030hrs when her decomposed body was discovered with a new born child in a Sewage at her boyfriends house identified as Lamido Gunduma at unguwar Yari-mari Jamaare. During preliminary investigation, it was discovered that the above suspect criminally conspired with one Ishaq Abdullahi aged 34yrs of the same address and fixed a canola into the arm of the said Jamila Saidu and administered her with dextrose water, Quinine and ostagen in order to abort her pregnancy which culminated into an induced labour that resulted to the death of the victim and new born baby. The suspect then deposited the corpses in the Sewage system within his compound and fled to Kwadon in Gombe state where he was tracked and arrested. He has been charged to court for prosecution accordingly.

3. Arrest of Armed Robbery/Kidnapping suspect terrorizing Zaranda-Takanda Nabordo:
One Usman Abdullahi was discovered to be in possession of a brand new Bajaj Motorcycle which he claimed to have purchased recently. The circumstances sorrounding his possession of the said motorbike was suspicious following which he was arrested and interrogated. He confessed to have acquired it from proceeds of Kidnapping in Zaranda and Burgel Dass L.G.A. He further revealed his fellow conspirators to include one Kabiru Officer of Busi village, Sani Umar of Tafawa Balewa as members of their syndicate.

Similarly, one Muhammadu Ahmadu 28yrs alias Likita Ardo Altine of Rinjin Tatto via Toro L.G.A, turned himself up and declared himself repentant after which he mentioned Usman Abdullahi, Lawan Sale alias Tashi aged 30yrs, Hussaini Bature aged 20yrs, Bokai Rabo aged 18yrs, Haruna Rabo aged 20yrs all of RinjinTatto and Dauda Mohammed of Golsudu village Toro L.G.A to be member of his syndicate terrorizing Bauchi-Jos road. All the suspects mentioned above were arrested, and after investigation, they will be charged to court.

In the same vein, Operatives of the State Intelligence Bureau Bauchi Command acted on a credible Intelligence that led to the arrest of one Abuchi Ogoke 26yrs old ‘M’ of Bayan Gari and Zaharadeen Ibrahim 22yrs old ‘M’ of Bakin Kura Street, Bauchi in relation to cases of drug peddling.

5. Arrest of Suspected Fraudster:
The Operatives of the States Intelligence Bureau Bauchi Command acted on credible Intelligence which led to the arrest of one Shuaib Abubakar 23 yrs old of Ganjuwa LGA. Shuaib who is currently undergoing his compulsory National Youth Service (NYSC) at Roni LGA of Jigawa State was on a visit to his friend in Bauchi. The suspect was arrested on 6th May, 2021 after he defrauded two businessmen by name Emeka Aaron and Ahmed Muhammed by making a fake Bank Transfer to effect payment of goods he purchased from them.

6. Arrest of Suspected Thief at Azare Town, Bauchi State.
Operatives of the State Intelligence Bureau Bauchi State Command arrested one Ahmed Abubakar 21 yrs old of Kasuwan Kaji area of Azare Town on 5th May, 2021. The suspect had sneaked into the resident of a cell phone dealer one Alh. Suleiman Azare of the same address at about 0400hrs where he stole over 50 pieces of assorted brands of new Cell phones.
