Northern Students Honours PRNigeria, Seek Youth Mentorship Programme
The National Association of Northern Nigeria Students (NANNS) has honoured the Publisher of PRNigeria, Mallam Yushau A. Shuaib with an ‘Award of Achiever Par Excellence.’
In addition, the students’ union also solicited PRNigeria‘s support on sustainable collaborations for capacity building trainings and mentorship for the teeming northern youths.
The call was made by the association Director of Special Duties, Abdulazeez Ibrahim, alongside his Campuses and Mobilization counterpart, Nafiu Yushau Zugachi, when they presented an ‘Award of Excellence’ to the Publisher, at PRNigeria office in Abuja.
According to Mr. Ibrahim, the union’s decision to honour Mallam Shuaib was necessitated due to his track records of performances, qualities, excellence and behind the scene efforts in serving humanity.
Similarly, Mr. Zugachi stated that, the union had over the years been noticing the unrelenting efforts of PRNigeria in betterment of the society through its internship and mentorship programs for the youth and students aimed at enhancing their skills in the aspect of journalism and related aspects.

He therefore thanked Mr. Shuaib on behalf of the students’ body for his outstanding contributions to the society and equally seek for partnership with PRNigeria in areas of journalism and beyond.
He said; “We the Northern Nigeria Students are very appreciative, impressive and passionate about your efforts. We are also looking forward to partnering with you in conducting workshops, not only in the issue of journalism but in other entrepreneurship skills of communication that will be very beneficial to our teeming youth and the society at large.
“Our association organize symposiums, lectures and workshops aimed at sensitizing the public mindsets against drug abuse, financial misconduct, examination malpractice and how to promote girls child education and become security conscious.”
In addition, Zugachi tasked the media to act as the ‘Fourth Estate of the Realm’ in providing solutions through their editorials in solving myriad of challenges affecting the country.
“The media has a lot of roles to play especially on this issue of the ongoing ASUU Strike and the insecurity that has been bedeviling our societies,” he added.
In his remarks, Mallam Shuaib thanked the association for finding him worthy of such the award and equally pledged to support the idea of equipping youth through capacity building programmes.
Mallam Shuaib also, assured the executives of the students’ union of PRNigeria‘s unwavering support and assistance in any way possible in uplifting the capacity of youth and betterment of the society in general.
