Moro Youths Hail Prof. Dasilva’s Reappointment as CMD University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital
Youths from Moro local government area of Kwara state have paid a congratulatory visit to the Chief Medical Director, CMD, of the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, UITH, Prof. Yusuf Abdullahi Dasilva, to felicitate with him on his re-appointment as the UITH CMD.
Dasilva was recently re-appointed for a second term in office as Chief Medical Director of UITH, by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The youths under the aegis of Moro Youths Movement were led to the CMD’s office by Alhaji Wasiu Oriyomi.
They presented Prof. Dasilva a roll-up banner in appreciation and recognition of his invaluable contributions to the socio-political cultural advancement of Moro people.
Speaking during the visit, Mr. Mustapha Kabir, told the UITH CMD that he has made the people of Moro proud.
He said: “You did a lot in your first term in office, hence Mr. President has decided to again repose his confidence on you”.

On his part, Comrade Nura Muhammad, who spoke on behalf of the delegation admonished Prof. Abdullahi Dasilva to use his second term in office to press further in his quest to make UITH an epitome of excellence, among other tertiary healthcare facilities in Nigeria.
“Prof Sir, Alhamdulillahi on your Reappointment for a second term. We came here today with our heads high as descendants of Moro, whom you have made proud with your outstanding performance in this hospital. You’ve turned around many dilapidated structures and set the hospital on a pedestal of excellence, we can only urge you to use this second term as another opportunity to do more, not only for UITH, but for humanity.”
Responding, the CMD appreciated his visitors, noting that he is happy that the little reforms he has been able to champion at UITH is gaining recognition.
“I am assuring you all that I will do my best to improve on all we have achieved during the second phase of my service in this capacity. I’m happy you guys, my own people are noticing the little I am doing and Insha Allah I will not let you down,” he said.
