The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Abdullahi Gana Muhammadu, has called on Nigerians to discountenance speculations making the rounds that the Corps is recruiting and doing replacement secretly.
The CG made this clarion call on fellow country Men and Women at the NSCDC National Headquarters, Abuja, as he frowned at the rumour that the Agency is recruiting and replacing secretly by favouring candidates of top government functionaries and influential persons in the Nigerian society.

According to the Leader of the Civil Defence, “ My fellow country men and women, it is my pleasure to employ applicants into our humble organization the NSCDC, but for now, we are not recruiting and we are not replacing whether openly or secretly. Please note, when the time comes, we will publish in the Electronic and Print Media nationwide to inform all the citizenry to enable eligible candidates to apply for employment. Please, please, please, for now, the Civil Defence is not recruiting, and is also, not doing any replacement. Therefore, applicants should be wary of the antics by fraudsters that are using the social media platform to defraud desperate job seekers. ”
Due to the rife speculations on secret recruitment and secret replacement of applicants going on in the NSCDC, The Commandant General maintained that nothing of such is happening anywhere in the Corps. And again, the Civil Defence is not a platform for any form of nepotism.
Abdullahi asserted that the NSCDC is an organization that has concrete respect for all persons whether Rich or Poor. ” Our recruitment policy is purely based on merit ” .
Meanwhile, the NSCDC has applied to the Federal Government for approval to enable the Agency employ, but is yet to get the go ahead to employ. Until approval is given, the general public should again by this Release beware of employment scammers using the name of the NSCDC to extort money from the unsuspecting Public.
