Chidoka Launches Aviation Passengers Service (APS) Portal And The Aviation Helpline

The Minister of Aviation, Osita Chidoka today launched the Aviation Passengers Service (APS) Portal and the Aviation Helpline.
The Aviation Passengers Service and the Aviation helpline is a brain child of the Honourable minister and part of his administration commitment to transform the aviation sector into a customer-centric industry.
The APS Portal is designed as a one-stop platform that provides a single platform where the flying public can access real time information about airlines operations and services at any of the airports in Nigeria.
In his comment during the launch, Chidoka said the APS Portal is a reliable source for verified information purposely designed to empower the passengers travelling by air from within and outside Nigeria with accurate data with which they can make informed decisions and plan their journey. He added that it serves also as a channel to create a positive passenger experience at the point of planning a trip and after trip occurrence.
The minister said that with the launch of the APS portal, interested members of the public can now search for flights on any route of their choice within the country.
The portal also allows interested persons in aviation business to submit complaints, suggestions and or commendations to the ministry and any of its agencies, thereby providing feedbacks on any issues pertaining to domestic airlines and incidences at any of the airports in the country upon which appropriate intervention will be taken by the relevant officials.
Continuing, Chidoka said the portal is an online Forum that provides avenue for all stakeholders to share their thoughts and opinions on matters relating to the Aviation sector in Nigeria which is intended to improve the quality and service rendered by Airlines at the nation’s airports.
Chidoka said, the portal is intended to put the necessary data needed for decision making at the fingertip of the Flying Public. “With the incessant flight delays encountered at our airports, this feature is designed to expose the efficiencies or otherwise of Airlines operating in the country as well as enable passengers make informed decisions on which airline to patronize while making arrangements towards the next flight.”
The Aviation portal provides a dynamic information site for all airports in the country with a view to providing relevant information local to each airport with a view to equipping anyone travelling to any of these locations with basic information needed to provide some level of comfort and safety while there.
Information made available on each Airport site includes the following:
