President Submits MTEF

The President and Commander in Chief, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan submits to the Senate, the Revised Medium Term Expenditure Framework for 2015-2017. According to the President, the revision was due to the fluctuation of the price of crude oil in the international market.

Also today the Senate President, Senator David Mark read out correspondence from the President requesting the Distinguished Senators permission for the Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo Iweala to lay the readjusted 2015 budget before it on Wednesday. The revised budget is based on a bench Mark of $65 per barrel.

Two other correspondence from the President were also presented at plenary. They are the Nigerian Communication Commission 2015 budget proposal and the Universal Service Provision Fund 2015 budget proposal.
