His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kaduna Sate Dr. Mukhtar Ramalan Yero has expressed deep sadness over the death of Mrs. Modupe Ayoola, a Journalist working with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Kaduna Zonal Office.
In a statement by his Media Aide, Ahmed Maiyaki, the Governor describes the demise of Mrs. Ayoola a big loss not only to NAN or the journalism profession but the entire state and country.
He said the death of the seasoned journalist came at a critical time when her wealth of experience in reporting is greatly needed.
Governor Yero said ‘’at this time our thoughts and prayers are with the immediate family, colleagues and friends of the late Ayoola.
He urged her family to take solace in the fact that she had lived a good life marked by service to humanity through selfless practice of journalism.
The Governor prayed for the repose of her soul and for God to grant her family and colleagues the fortitude to bear her loss
