I Will Be Fair And Just To All –Solomon Dalung

The Honourable Minister of Youth and Sports, Barrister Solomon Dalung has said he would be fair and just in the management of the Ministry. The new Minister gave the assurance during the formal handover ceremony in Abuja at the Ministry’s Conference Room.

According to the Minister, the challenges facing Nigeria Youth are enormous and multidimensional but promised that the government of change will give the Youth the desired attention.

Barrister Dalung identifying neglect by the past administrations in the country as being responsible for many Youth’s anti-social behaviours such as robbery, cultism, kidnaping ,419 etc.

He appealed to the Youth to have confidence in “President Buhari’s administration of change” that is determined to work in their favour. He said he was quantify to be called a youth @51 compared to the former administration where by a 61year old man was  elected  the National Youth Leader of the ruling party.

Barr. Dalung promised to improve sports which over the years have proved to be unifying force for Nigerians. He therefore appealed to all the stakeholders in the sports sector to avoid discord and embrace peace and love so that in togetherness they would work for the betterment of the Ministry. He harped on the need for peace saying industrialist will never invest in any place where there is war, anarchy and strife. He then urged Nigeria Youth to imbibe the spirit of tolerance and brotherhood.

The Minister made it known that he will not condole injustice and corruption; and will not hesitate to hand over any corrupt staff to the law enforcement agencies for prosecution.

Barrister Dalung promised to make welfare of staff his priority and enjoined  all staff to be disciplined, hardworking, honest and faithful in the discharge of their duties, as he would not tolerate truancy, late coming or close before official hour. He also called for self-discipline, honesty and thoroughness in the conduct of government business.

The Minister used the occasion to commend President Buhari for giving him an opportunity to serve the nation.
