Fatal Accident Kills Motorcyclist in Bauchi

On the 19/3/2017 at about 1600hrs, there was an accident near VIO office along Bauchi -Jos road involving a Honda accord car with registration number GME-762-HP driven by one Capt I. D Ekpo attached to 301 Brigade Gombe.

Accident occurred when the vehicle Tyre busted, the driver loss control and hit a maroon coloured Boxer motorcycle with Reg No FNN 355Q-An. As a result, the rider one Muddafa kabiru male, 30 years of Nasarawa Jahun, Bauchi and his passenger one Hanifa Abdulaziz,  female, 20 years of Yelwan makaranta sustained various degrees of injuries.

Police Patrol Team attached to GRA Division visited the scene and rushed victims to ATBU Teaching Hospital Bauchi for treatment.

Meanwhile, the motorcycle rider was certified dead on arrival by a medical doctor while his passenger sustained a fracture and  currently on admission responding to treatment.

Corpse was released to relatives for burial according to Islamic rites after postmortem examination.

Moreover, on the same date at about 1100hrs, there was a lone fatal motor vehicle accident involving a Commercial Hummer Bus with registration number (YOBE) FKA -328 XA conveying twenty two passengers along Azare Bulkachuwa road Bauchi.

Accident occurred when the driver one Garba Mohammed male, aged 25 years of Ndiski ward Potiskum was on speed, the rear tyre bursted and vehicle somersaulted and crashed inside the bush. As a result, victims sustained various degrees of injuries.

Police Patrol Team attached to Azare Division visited the scene and rushed casualties to Federal medical Centre Azare for treatment where Nine passengers, including the driver certified dead on arrival while thirteen others are responding to treatment.

Finally, Corpses deposited at the public mortuary for postmortem examination and efforts are being intensified to identify victims relatives.
