Labour Ministry Gets New Perm Sec, Odusote
The newly deployed Permanent Secretary Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment, Mrs Ibukun Odusote has affirmed that Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment is strategically positioned as a catalyst for national development and growth, through the promotion of decent work; therefore it should take the lead in efficient service delivery.

Speaking recently during her assumption of duties and taking-over ceremony in Abuja, the Permanent Secretary stated that; “I Am aware of the strategic position of this ministry to the economic well-being of the nation and as a catalyst to economic efficiency through the promotion of decent work, therefore we are supposed to be an example for the entire workforce to emulate.”

Odusote emphasized that “achieving the overall objective of the Ministry will require the commitment and dedication of all staff to prompt, effective and efficient service delivery” she urged staff of the Ministry to be punctual, hardworking and desist from pretentious and dramatic style of working.

Furthermore, the Permanent Secretary stressed that respect for one another is vital to achieving organizational growth and objectives as “service to man is service to God” hence she enjoin all to be proactive at work and by so doing bring about positive transformation to the organization.

Earlier in his remarks, the Director overseeing the office of the Permanent Secretary, the Director Human Resources Management Mr Ajibola Ibrahim said he is delighted to hand over to the new Permanent Secretary and pledge the commitment of staff members to working harmoniously work with her.

Until her deployment as Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment Ibukun Odusote was an Information Technology Icon with collective years of working experience in consulting, lecturing and seasoned Public Servant; she has demonstrated an exemplary leadership skills by working on a number groundbreaking projects and displaying unparalleled supervision and effective management of varieties of IT initiatives in Academics, private sector and the public service.

More so, she has served as Chief Administrative and Chief Accounting Officer in various Ministries, having been the Permanent Secretary in Ecological Funds Office, Federal Ministry of Power, Federal Ministry of Environment, Federal Ministry of Culture, Tourism &National Orientation, Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and Office of the Secretary of the Government of the Federation.

She has distinguished herself as an agent of positive change insisting on doing things the right way.
