Easter in FCT: Police Deploy Plain-Cloth Operatives to Strategic Places

Easter: Police Deploy Plain-Cloth Police Operatives to Strategic Places in FCT

The Commissioner of Police FCT, CP Bala Ciroma has reassured residents of the Federal Capital territory that the Command has deployed adequate security measures to guarantee a hitch free Easter feast celebration in FCT.

The Command has commenced massive deployment of plain-cloth and uniformed Police Operatives across churches shopping malls, gardens, motor parks and other areas that have been identified to be beehive of activities during the festivities.

The Command has taken proactive measures through operation Puff Adder to combat crimes in all the area councils, along all streets, major roads across the FCT connecting to other States.

The Commissioner of Police has also directed all Area Commanders and Divisional Police Officers to provide water-tight security at all Churches and recreational centres located within their respective areas of responsibility.

While felicitating with all Christian faithfuls as they commemorate the Easter, the CP enjoins FCT residents to be security conscious and continue to partner with the Command through the provision of timely information on suspicious and strange persons hibernating around them.
