IGP meets Police Affairs Minister, Pledges to Improve Security
The Hon. Minister of Police Affairs, Mohammed Maigari Dingyadi has called on the entire Police force and other security agencies in the country to join hands in mapping out strategies in moving the country to the next level. He assured the force of his full cooperation to ensure proper funding of the force to meet the current security challenges.
He made this known while receiving the Inspector General of Police IG, Mohammed Adamu, who was in the Ministry to brief the Minister and the Management on the activities of the Police Force on Thursday 12th of September,2019

The Permanent Secretary, Maurice Nnamdi Mbaeri, while welcoming the IG and his team, commended the Police force for the good job they’ve been doing, noting that the core mandate of the force is to ensure internal security to the good people of Nigeria. He assured them of the Ministry’s full support while encouraging them to keep up the good work.
Earlier in his remark, the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu said he has come to brief the Hon. Minister on the activities of the Police such as the current efforts channelled at community policing, improved technology employed to meet up with the realities on ground, the Police trust fund and the need to upgrade the Police college in Kano to a full fledge University. He also highlighted challenges of the force which bothers on the envelope concept
