VIDEO: NEMA, NAF Airlift Relief items for North-East IDPs

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the Nigerian Airforce (NAF) are involved in a joint operation towards ensuring timely delivery of relief materials to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the North-East.

PRNigeria gathered that President Muhammadu Buhari has approved distributions of relief materials to IDPs in areas that are inaccessible by road due to the topography during the rainy season.
The North-East NEMA spokesperson, Mr. Abdulkadir Ibrahim confirmed the development, adding that some of the items had been airlifted by the NAF aircraft of and uploaded by humanitarian personnel.
“A team has been constituted to ensure timely and transparent of the distributions of the items to the beneficiaries,” Ibrahim said.
