Finally, Gov Matawalle, Zamfara Legislators Decamp to APC

Governor Bello Mohammed (Matawallen Maradun) has formally declared for the All Progressive Congress (APC) today.

Governor Matawalle was received into the Party by its Caretaker Committee Chairman, the Yobe State Governor, Alhaji Mai Mala Buni in company of ten APC Governors, the SGF, two Ministers and a host of Party dignitaries .

The Party National Caretaker Committee Chairman said as from today, Governor Bello Mohammed is the official leader of the Party in the state just as he used the power bestowed on him by the constitution to dissolve the State Executive of Party.

“From now on, Governor Matawalle is the leader our great Party in Zamfara State. You will await further arrangements for new party structure from him” the Caretaker Committee Chairman said.

Receiving the Party’s flag, Governor Matawalle accepted the leadership of the Patty just as he declared his membership of the Party. He called on all party members to rally round him to build a new APC of the peoples desire in the state.

Governor. Matawalle also declared his membership of the party along with all Serving Senators, 6 of the 7 reps members and all members al the State Assembly members.

Speaking at the occasion, former Governor of the state, Abdulazeez Yari, declared his support and commitment to work for the success of the party just as he prayed for God to prevent any evil from crossing their path in the party again.

The Governors in attendance include those of Kano, kaduna, Kebbi, Borno, Kogi, Niger, Yobe, Ogun, Katsina, Jigawa and Plateau state. Also in attendance was the first Civilian Governor of the state, Alhaji Ahmad Sani ( Yariman Bakura).
